Solaren Corporation Announces Tentative Procurement Schedule for SSP Design & Demonstration Phase
June 8, 2016MANHATTAN BEACH, June 8, 2016 – Solaren Corporation (“Solaren”) has announced a tentative procurement schedule for it’s Space Solar Power (SSP) Design and Demonstration Phase.
Solaren anticipates the closing of a multi-million dollar investment round in 2016, which will fund our SSP Design & Demonstration Phase. Solaren expects procurement activities to begin early in 2017, and for contract awards as early as the second quarter of 2017.
Solaren plans multiple awards for the engineering development of several types of high performance power conversion devices such as space qualified solar cells and solid state power amplifiers (SSPAs), antennas, and ground receivers that directly convert RF power into electricity. Also, Solaren plans multiple awards for the engineering design studies of several key solar power satellite subsystems.
